Welfare Hub - Helping You Learn, Thrive and Achieve

At Sefton Community Learning Service, your wellbeing matters. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every learner can thrive, feel valued, and achieve their goals.

Learner Support

Everyone learns differently, and we are here to help you succeed.

If you have additional support needs, our friendly and experienced tutors will work with you to give you the best opportunity to reach your learning goals. Support may include:

  • Help with Maths, English and Digital Skills (ICT)
  • Support for learners with dyslexia and other learning difficulties
  • Assistance for learners with visual or hearing impairments
  • Reasonable adjustments for physical support needs
  • Ongoing encouragement and guidance throughout your learning journey
  • If you are 19+, live in the Liverpool City Region, and are studying a Level 3 course or below, you may be able to access support with travel costs and stationery through the Learner Support Fund.

If there is anything that may affect your learning, please speak to a member of our team. We are here to help.

🛡️ Safeguarding & Prevent

Your safety and wellbeing are our priority.

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding means protecting people from abuse, harm, neglect, exploitation, and discrimination. It is about creating a safe and supportive environment where everyone can learn, develop, and feel secure.

What is Prevent?

Prevent is part of the UK's approach to safeguarding. It aims to protect vulnerable people from radicalisation and extremist influence by providing support and early intervention where needed.

Need to Report a Concern?

If you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Officer:

👤 Angela Range
📧 Angela.Range@sefton.gov.uk

No concern is too small. If something doesn't feel right, please speak to us.
